As you will have heard, Nigeria’s home kit sold over 3million shirts in a matter of days and Nike sold every single jersey they made.
At first we thought even the first team couldn’t get their hands on one and that’s why they were in the changed strip.
It turns out it’s all because of FIFA decreeing that the kit would be too close to Croatia’s white and red chequered number.
Both equally stunning strips, if I’m honest.
But with everyone sad they wouldn’t see the best kit in world football, we quickly realised that Nigeria’s second kit is actually one of the best at the tournament.

The dark green affair is a strip of pure class, emboldened with electric green on the socks and the squad number, it’s a work of art.
Yes the first kit is a maverick loud affair, the likes of which we haven’t seen in football for a long time.
But this second kit is more traditional in its block colour, livened up with the fluorescent green.
Bravo Nike.
